Vice President
My name is Taylor Doucet, and I am the Vice President of Redemption Road Fitness Foundation and Redemption Road CrossFit. Redemption Road is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that uses CrossFit to help individuals while they're incarcerated. What started as a small initiative in Limon in 2017 has since grown into an official CrossFit affiliate in many different Colorado prisons, and it's been one of the most impactful experiences of my life.
I was introduced to Redemption Road in 2019 by Trevor Jones, who invited me to become a coach. From the beginning, CrossFit taught me more than just fitness — it challenged me to develop my character as a person. The intensity of the workouts broke down barriers; it didn't care about race, background, or even your feelings — it simply pushed you to be better. That's when I fell in love with it and realized how powerful it could be for people in prison who may be stuck in old mindsets, or just want to become better versions of themselves.
CrossFit helped me rediscover what I could become, and now, as Vice President, I get to give back to the incarcerated population that I was once a part of. I'm proud to see how the foundation continues to grow, using healthy habits to help individuals reshape their futures. I believe that it's not our past that defines us, but the actions we take today to build the future we want to become.
